Caffeine has been around for thousands of years. Found in coffee, teas, cocoa, guarana and kola beans, it is the most widely consumed dietary supplement whether intentionally or not. It has also been the most widely studied such product with many beneficial qualities for all people.
The obvious effect of caffeine, and the most noticeable, is an increase in heart rate. In the past, it was thought that this effect could lead to heart attacks or heart disease. This is simply not the case. Numerous studies have concluded that caffeine has no adverse effect on the heart or other organs. Athletes have long understood the benefits of caffeine both for its increase in energy as well as the associated increase in blood flow. Workouts can last longer and results are increased.
Also, caffeine has been shown to save glycogen, which is a major source of energy. This delays fatigue and increases power and energy. Less known is the effect that caffeine plays with the mind. It has been shown to increase alertness and focus which helps athletes train longer and more effectively.
Yet another benefit from caffeine is its assistance in muscle recovery and repair of lean muscle tissue. And we all know that the development of lean muscle mass leads to a greater burning of fat. In fact, nearly every weight loss supplement contains caffeine in some form or another. Our most popular fat burner and weight loss supplements, the Hydroxycut line, manufactured by MuscleTech, contain caffeine in several forms including several types of tea.
But just as with nearly everything, too much is not a good thing. Excess caffeine can cause a diuretic effect which can lead to dehydration, a big concern for athletes. It can also lead to a jittery feeling and that dreaded “caffeine crash.” Our customers find that 250 mg taken 15 minutes before a workout will provide the energy they need and the fat burning results they crave.

Put A Little Spice In Your Weight Loss Program
For thousands of years, humans have been adding different spices to their food to improve flavor. More recently, we have learned of the many health benefits of these same spices. Pepper, for instance, is now known to have beneficial effects on a huge number of organs and systems in the human body.
Capsicum is the chemical found in various forms of peppers including, Chili Peppers, Cayenne Peppers as well as Long Pepper Fruit. Capsicum has been shown to have a blood warming effect and to have beneficial effects on the heart, liver, digestive system, spleen, pancreas and stomach. Pepper has also been shown to improve urinary function as well as general circulation. Studies indicate that the “blood warming” effect of the Cayenne pepper can treat such ailments as the common cold, allergies and other nasal and throat conditions. But many people are turning to Cayenne and other pepper supplements for their tremendous appetite suppressant properties.
Cayenne is generally found in 40,000 heat unit (HU) form but can be obtained in HU factors as high as 100,000. That’s hot! However, if you are sensitive to this kind of heat, have digestive problems or simply don’t like pepper taste, there are a number of options.
Cayenne and other pepper supplements are widely available in capsule form and are often combined with other herbs. For example, several companies offer Cayenne mixed with mint for a cooler sensation. Garlic and Ginger with their long recognized health benefits are also often found in these supplements as well.
So check it out, find out what is best for you and put some spice in your healthy life.

Which Are The Best Pre-Workout Supplements?
What you do before your workout can be as important as your workout itself. Stretching is certainly important as is to prepare your workout routine. Setting goals for each individual session is essential as is organization of exercises and equipment. But what else can you do to get the best results?
We believe that a pre-workout supplement is as important as supplements taken to maximize post workout results. For example, preparing your body with a nitric oxide reactor such as Arginine will reap huge benefits from each workout session.
Arginine is one of those rare semi-essential amino acids that can be produced in the body but only after a certain age. It can be found in such dairy products as yogurt, cottage cheese, milk and other products. Its many benefits include wound and muscle healing, improved immune function, and most importantly for athletes and bodybuilders, the increased production of human growth hormone (HGH) and an increase in muscle mass.
We have found three pre-workout supplements that are terrific sources of Arginine and other muscle building ingredients. They are:
Hyper Pump by Advanced Muscle
Infinite Lab’s Juggernaut
Xpand by Dymatize
All three contain Arginine and other important ingredients such as Creatine, Whey and others that will help you achieve maximum results from each individual session. These products are recommended to be taken approximately 30 minutes before a workout session and then again about 8 hours later usually before a meal. As with all supplements, each person will have varying results so you may want to sample each before deciding which is best for you.

Which Colleges Have The Best Fans? You Tell Us!
Normally we devote our attention and energy in this space to write informative articles about health and fitness issues including the uses and benefits of supplements.
Since starting our business, we have noticed that a large percentage of our customers are college or university students. Whether it be for Nootropics or “smart drugs” that aid in focus and concentration, or diet and athletic supplements, college students seem to “get it” when it comes to the benefits of these products
So we wondered, which colleges have the best fans?
The SEC with Florida, LSU, Auburn and others is famous for its rabid fans. And why not? The conference’s recent dominance in football has been remarkable. Of course, some USC fans may take umbrage with that. The ACC and Big East have been dominate in basketball for years and the Big Ten features some of the best football venues in the country with The Big House, The Horseshoe and Happy Valley among the best.
And the rivalries:
USC and UCLA
Florida and Georgia
Auburn and Alabama
Texas and Oklahoma
Ohio State and Michigan
North Carolina and Duke
Georgetown and Syracuse
Notre Dame versus The World
So let us know, go to www.dealsinbulk.blogspot.com and tell us your thoughts, we’d like to know and will publish the results of our survey.
